Afrobeats dance workshop

Afro fusion is a high energy, visceral dance style that involves putting equal importance on feeling as well as technique. You’ll learn dance grooves and phrases from the West and South African diaspora with a western-commercial twist that will really put you in tune with your body. Bring lots of water and a towel as you’ll need it!

Keena is the wonderful instrctor who will be taking the workshop. Keena started off training in freestyle-disco from the age of 7 and competing in national competitions before moving into street and commercial dance. Training with different troupes and companies, Keena had the opportunity to compete in 'Got to Dance' and was a bac up dancer for Jedward before obtaining her grade 8 in performing arts from Trinity College.

Keena now focuses on Afro fusion, commercial and street and has danced for various well known artists in their concerts and performances. Keena is looking forward to seeing you at the workshop!
